Currently, Computer Science is a sub-category of Information Science and Information Science is a sub-category of Computer Science. Dfletter 18:41, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Information Technology
[edit]Why is Category:Computer science a sub-category of Category:Information technology? IT and CS are fairly disjoint fields, and I don't think it's really appropriate to claim that either is subsumed by the other. It may be appropriate for certain sub-categories to be listed in both, but I don't think the main category should be. --bmills 17:11, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps for the same reason that Portal:Computer science points at Portal:Information technology?. Anyway, I agree that CS shouldn't be a sub-cat of IT. I've just removed Category:Computer science from Category:Information technology. --Allan McInnes (talk) 17:47, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
